1) most will answer, well it’s cool and got no virus

2) some will say, man.. windows suck!! (oo yea? which part?)

3) some some will say, l33t h4×0r us3 1t!! 1 w4nt t0 b3 4 h4×0r t00 (come on, get a life)

4) small number of poeples will say, i want to learn it so i must used it.

well everybody got their own reason, but i really like reason no 4 because that is my main reason i used ubuntu since breezy.

to be honest, we will never know or learn something till you try it yourself. with linux, there is so much fun! i can write script to automate my laptop for certain event. it’s like i’m fully controlling my own laptop. on the other hand, i know better how my system work from low level. the best thing is that i can tweak almost every part of it and if it’s broken, live CD can be a life-saver . re-format is going to be the last resort!

from my experience of using ubuntu, i only re-format it once when my gutsy totally messed up after first attempt upgrading to hardy. some say i’m stupid because using unstable version instead of stable one.. but guess what, no matter how buggy it is, there always will be peoples to help you fix it. you i’ll never learn anything till you fix it yourself right? as long as there is internet, any type of bug or problem is fine to me now :)

so, does this make me a linux expert? naah.. there’s still many things to learn and so much to try. i’m just a newbie that ready to do it!
